At the exact moment drivers are waking up to the nightmare of modern connected vehicles, the physical parts supply keeping older machines alive is rapidly disappearing.
Modern cars are fragile, disposable tracking hubs engineered to lock you out. Proprietary diagnostics, DRM, invasive telemetry, and remote kill switches have replaced true ownership. You are no longer buying a machine, you are paying for temporary permission to operate corporate hardware.
An analog vehicle represents genuine sovereignty. Simple mechanical linkages, serviceable components, and zero tether to a corporate cloud. But every burned yard shrinks the baseline of mechanical freedom left on our roads.
Automakers will not build repairable machines again. If you want a vehicle that cannot be shut off remotely, you have to preserve it yourself. Go find an older truck, learn to turn the wrenches, and keep the steel on the road.
looking at doing my first proper stream later today (1pm BST) , I'll be continuing Halloween the Game.
