On Sunday Ukraine’s Dictator Vladimir Zelensky took to Telegram (a social media platform that caters to a more international audience than an American one) to threaten strikes deep into Russia as part of an expansion of his Ukraine war. The same day the Dictator also took to X (a social media platform that caters to a largely American audience) to tell the world he is ready for peace, but that it is Russia which is expanding the war.
“We will continue our active actions exactly as needed to protect Ukraine. Forces and means are prepared. New deep strikes have also been planned,” Zelensky posted on Telegram Sunday.
While Ukraine has generally used U.S.-made weapons to strike Russia, on August 23 it was reported that the Pentagon blocked Ukraine from striking deep within Russia, something allowed by the Biden administration, which could have sparked nuclear war in November.
“We have analyzed in detail the situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction and the intentions of the occupier. Also, the situation in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. We will continue our active actions exactly as needed to protect Ukraine. Forces and means are prepared. New deep strikes have also been planned,” Zelensky said in the Telegram post.
The same day Ukraine’s Dictator revealed his plan for new deep strikes, he took to X to tell a largely American audience that Russia is the aggressor.
While Zelensky’s plans appear to be expanding his war, President Donald Trump is still seeking to end the war, expressing his hope for a trilateral meeting between the US, Russia and Ukraine. Trump said that meeting is still in the cards.
