this tells me that the french sculpters inspiration was lucifer. i know in the 1800s it was being produced in paris, france where it was the largest statue that everyone could see but i don't how they transported the large thing. but i believe that the artist's inspiration was lucifer because why a torch and why chains. its very sus.

I looked into this. The chains aren't attached to the ground; they are broken chains.
