Acquisition of Israeli Military-Linked Tech: In February 2026, Apple acquired Q.ai, an Israeli startup specializing in “pre-speech” technology that detects facial micro-movements before speech.

Silence on Palestinian Suffering: Despite sending a company-wide email expressing sympathy for Israeli victims after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, Apple has not issued a similar statement acknowledging the death of over 41,000 Palestinians (as of 2024) or the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Human Rights Violations in DRC: Apple is also under scrutiny for sourcing minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where mining operations have been linked to "blood minerals" used to fund armed groups and involve child labor and hazardous working conditions.

Employee Suppression: Former Apple employees have reported being fired for expressing pro-Palestinian views or criticizing the company’s ties to Israel.
